Late last year, CMS announced a plan for a new Customer Satisfaction Survey for Hospice providers, The Hospice Experience of Care Survey. The tool will become operational in 2015 and will become a pay-for-reporting requirement by quarter two of 2015.
CMS is applying for NQF and CAHPS® approval of the survey, once obtained, the survey will likely be called Hospice CAHPS®
- Summer 2014 – Survey questions Finalized
- Summer/Fall 2014 – Approved vendors selected, trained and published
- Quarter 1 2015 – Agencies partner with approved vendor to complete single month dry-run
- April 1, 2015 – Ongoing monthly surveys begin
